Lifestyle-orientated Japanese speciality coffee brand % Arabica has its UK flagship store at 33 Broadway Market. Joining its recently opened London sister site in Covent Garden, the Broadway Market location sees % Arabica’s inimitable design taking centre stage in one of East London’s most vibrant communities. 

% Arabica founder Kenneth Shoji fell in love with Broadway Market at first sight. His aim was for this humble store to become a part of the local community on market day and throughout the week with locals and commuters alike.

The store has a minimal yet purposeful design that showcases the company’s Japanese heritage. A wood-clad custom Slayer machine takes centre stage and is complemented by original bespoke furnishings displaying the unique % Arabica logo; from the light switches and wooden table and chairs to the mirrors and flooring, every minute detail has been designed and brought to life by founder and CEO Kenneth Shoji, the mastermind behind the expansion in to the UK. Unique to the store is the addition of the original Smeed Dean Yellow brickwork, a nod to the traditional craftsmanship of London.

The store also has its own Tornado King small batch roasting machine, the only one of its kind currently in the UK and now a staple of % Arabica’s stores worldwide. Trained baristas help customers make a selection from the ten green coffee's on offer, which they will roast on the Tornado King on the spot!

Customers can take home freshly roasted coffee every time they visit the store.
